The spirit of the deal

DefendWise is built for MSPs running security awareness training for their real clients. Train every user on every client at every site — that’s the whole point.

If you’re using the platform the way an MSP would, you will literally never run into this policy. Promise.

What’s normal

• Onboarding new client organisations as you win new business.
• Adding learners as your clients grow — even if that doubles or triples your headcount in a quarter.
• Running training campaigns at whatever cadence makes sense for your clients.
• Generating monthly compliance reports for every client, every month.

What’s not

A short list of things that break the spirit and will get a conversation started — or in serious cases, suspension:

• Reselling DefendWise as a standalone SaaS. You’re an MSP delivering managed security services. You’re not a SAT vendor flipping our platform under a different name to other MSPs.
• Fake or shell client organisations created to fragment usage, dodge audits, or game the model in any way.
• Sustained outlier-scale usage. If your usage exceeds 20× the median MSP on the platform over a rolling 30-day window — measured across users, content generation, and AI throughput — we’ll get in touch. This isn’t a cap. It’s a trigger to talk about whether you’re a candidate for our enterprise tier.
• Automated bulk creation of clients, users, or campaigns via scripting in ways that look more like a load test than a business workflow.
• Hosting non-training content in your white-label portal — file storage, pirated material, anything that isn’t security awareness training.
• Reverse engineering or attempting to bypass platform security.
• Anything illegal, harassing, or that puts our infrastructure or other customers at risk.

What happens if we think you’re crossing the line

We don’t go straight to nuclear. Here’s the order:

1. We talk to you first. A real human emails you, explains what we’re seeing, and asks what’s going on. Most of the time there’s a reasonable explanation and that’s the end of it.
2. If usage is genuinely outside the MSP model (think reseller-scale traffic), we’ll work with you on a custom commercial arrangement. We’d rather price a bigger deal than lose a customer.
3. If something’s actually abusive — illegal content, security attacks, harassment — we’ll suspend access immediately and refund any unused trial period.

Why this exists

Honest answer: a flat-fee, unlimited model only works if everyone uses it in good faith. One bad actor running 50,000 fake users through our AI cost-blocks the entire economic model that lets us charge $399.

We’re not interested in nickel-and-diming our customers. We’re interested in not letting one customer break the deal for the other 599.
